High Current Inverter using ZVS

Previously I mostly used the ZVS driver to drive Flyback transformers for generate High Voltage. It is possible, however, to use a secondary with just a few turns of thick wire, to get just a few volts but a lot of current:

The schematics for the ZVS driver are available here. This is a ferrite core, from a Flyback transformer, using a custom secondary with just 3 turns of 1.5mm cooper wire.
As you can see the output current is so high, that it instantly melts the thin wire. A very simple way of making your own DIY high current inverter.

  1. Hmm just wonder if on the secondary out u would connect a coil and use it for induction heating…
