Some of my latest work involved using a thyratron tube, the TGI2 400/16. At 6.3V/10A filament and 16KV/400A max plate voltage, the tube requires thick wires for connection, when in use. Since I didn’t have the original socket, I decided to build one, paying some extra attention at the high current requirements:
